Intuit and BCSG to host Financial Fitness Workshops at the Business Start-Up Show, Earls Court, 17th – 18th November

Intuit and training partner BCSG will be helping new start ups become financially prepared for long term success in a series of interactive ‘Financial Fitness Workshops’ at the Business Startup Show, a free event for anyone thinking about starting a business or expanding a business.

Each Financial Fitness Workshop will guide small businesses through the steps they need to take to organise their finances and set up for long-term success. Topics covered will include bookkeeping basics, tracking cash flow, managing invoices and dealing with VAT.

Case studies of real-life business successes and challenges will be shared to reinforce the importance for start ups to get a secure handle on their finances early, and step by step demonstrations of cash flow statements and credit control reports will illustrate good reporting practices.

According to an Intuit survey of UK start-ups, one in three small businesses fail to make it past their third year and for many, managing their finances is one of the most challenging aspects of starting a business. Attendees will leave the session confident in how to best survive their critical first three years.
