Answer yes if you often send quotes or estimates to your customers before starting work.
Some editions of QuickBooks help you produce quotes or estimates. It's usually much faster than doing them manually.
Answer yes if your company is registered for VAT, or if you plan to register for VAT in the next 6 - 12 months.
Please note that QuickBooks Online does not support the flat rate VAT scheme.
Answer yes if you'd like help tracking supplier invoices and outgoings which must be paid by a certain date.
QuickBooks can show how outgoings will affect your cashflow and warn when payments are due.
Answer yes if your business regularly processes the same financial transactions.
These are called 'recurring transactions'. They are anything that happens regularly - daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
QuickBooks can automate recurring transactions for you. For instance, if you need to record a £1,000 expense for premises rental each month, you can set it up as a recurring transaction in QuickBooks Online. Then you don't have to remember to input it manually every time.
Answer yes if some of your customers or suppliers are located outside the UK, or if you think you might work with foreign customers or suppliers in future.
QuickBooks makes it easy for you to trade with international customers and suppliers in their currencies, by monitoring exchange rates and automatically converting currencies.
Purchase orders help you keep track of what you've ordered and what you've received. Some suppliers will ask for a purchase order before fulfilling your request, so using purchase orders can make it easier to work with suppliers.
Answer yes if you regularly order items or services from your suppliers, or if you currently have trouble keeping track of orders you've placed.
Answer yes if you have more than one shop, site or office, or think you may expand to additional locations in future.
You can access all editions of QuickBooks Online from any location at any time. However, some editions include features to help companies which have premises in more than one place.
Answer yes if you regularly create budgets covering expenditure for future periods.
Even if you don't use budgets right now, also answer yes if you think you'll need to use them as your company grows.
Answer yes if you sometimes need to pass specific billable expenses on to your customers. For instance, maybe you buy an item from a supplier and then re-charge a customer for it.
Some editions of QuickBooks allow you to assign billable expenses to a particular customer, so the item(s) will automatically appear on their next invoice.
