How to upgrade
1. Buy QuickBooks 2012
Buy your QuickBooks Desktop package. You can buy online, but you'll get a discount if you upgrade from within your copy of QuickBooks.

2. Install it and open your company file
Installing QuickBooks is easy - and QuickBooks 2012 will convert your existing company file to work with the new software.

3. Follow the instructions on-screen
You might need to provide a little extra information, depending which version of QuickBooks you're upgrading from.
Looking for QuickBooks Online?
You cannot move your company accounts from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, our internet accounting system.

If you already use QuickBooks Desktop, you're best sticking with our desktop products.
