What is QuickBooks Remote Access?

QuickBooks Remote Access is a secure service that allows you to access everything on your computer from any other computer with an internet connection. You can quickly and easily view and update your QuickBooks, email and other programs and documents anytime, anywhere.
QuickBooks Remote Access lets you:
- Access your QuickBooks data and all other applications and data on your main computer
- Transfer files between computers
- Print documents that are stored on your main computer
- Copy and paste between the two computers
QuickBooks Remote Access allows you to use all the programs and files on your main computer, but from anywhere. All you need is an internet-connected computer.

What versions of QuickBooks can I use QuickBooks Remote Access with?
|
QuickBooks Remote Access works with QuickBooks Premier on computers running Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
QuickBooks Remote Access does not work with other desktop editions of QuickBooks software, or with QuickBooks Online.
However, please note that because QuickBooks Online is accounting software you access on the internet, you can access it from almost anywhere anyway.

Is it safe to use QuickBooks Remote Access?

Yes. All the information sent over the internet using QuickBooks Remote Access is protected by encryption which is similar to that used by internet banks. You need a username, password and access code to log in to QuickBooks Remote Access - that's more secure than just requiring a username and password.

QuickBooks Remote Access for Accountants is designed to give your accountant access to all the information stored in your QuickBooks software. It helps them work with you more effectively by giving them direct access to your financial information.
QuickBooks Remote Access for Accountants is different to the standard version of QuickBooks Remote Access because it only allows access to information stored in QuickBooks - it does not permit access to the rest of your computer system. This means it's highly secure, helping your accountant work with you more effectively without allowing unrestricted access to your systems!
